153 Kathleen Lynch asked the Minister for the Marine if dredging operations will commence in the channel approaching Burtonport Harbour in view of the fact that the Royal Lifeboat Institution is making a new lifeboat available to Aranmore Island, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for the Marine (Mr. Barrett):

Preliminary site investigations are planned at Burtonport this year to establish dredging requirements. A dredging programme will be considered in light of the findings of the site investigations.
