Vol. 477 No. 3

Written Answers. - Garda Investigations.

Hugh Byrne

Question:

54 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Justice the resources used and the extent to which international experts on suspects' physiological profiling have been used for consultation in relation to the Garda investigations of the recent killing of two women in their home in a barbaric manner. [9108/97]

It is not the normal practice for the Minister for Justice to make statements to the House about the progress of individual Garda investigations. All I propose to say in this case is that I have been informed by the Garda authorities that the investigation is ongoing.
