212 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the plight of social studies students of years one and two on the National Diploma Course in Social Studies at Athlone Regional Technical College in view of the fact that in the current academic year 62 internal students are applying for 20 official places; if her attention has further been drawn to the fact that the scarcity of places will be even more acute in 1997-98; and the action, if any, she proposes to take to remedy this situation. The provision of additional places on the course in question is a matter for the regional technical college, within the resources approved on an annual basis by my Department.
