Vol. 478 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Mary O'Rourke

Question:

82 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Health if he will urgently review the case of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath who is aged 85 and has been awaiting a hip operation for over 12 months. [10662/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Westmeath is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance, I have asked the chief executive Officer of the Midland Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
