Vol. 478 No. 3

Written Answers. - Tax Reliefs.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

26 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork is paying a higher rate of income tax; and if he will examine this person's tax free allowance to ensure that all allowances arc being applied. [11071/97]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the Inspector of Taxes was not made aware of the taxpayers changed circumstances. He has now reviewed the taxpayer's income tax liability and an amended certificate of tax-free allowances will issue shortly.
