Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the immediate need to set up a national surveillance monitoring unit in view of the dramatic increase of MRSA in our acute hospitals; (2) Deputy Michael Kitt — the growing concern about the state of refugees in Rwanda and Zaire and the Government funding for these programmes; (3) Deputy Keaveney — the urgent need to address the inequitable treatment being experienced by children in Scoil Eoghain, Moville, County Donegal, both in terms of finance for refurbishments and disadvantaged status; (4) Deputy Eric Byrne — the urgent need for updated school attendance legislation to be introduced; (5) Deputy Lynch — the urgent need to ensure that all public buildings are made fully accessible to people with disabilities; (6) Deputy Nolan — the need to intervene in the current industrial dispute at Greencore because of the hardship being caused to employees and families affected by this dispute; (7) Deputies Joe Walsh, Power and Andrews — the need to take immediate action to ensure that the World Equestrian Games is retained in Ireland following the setback by Nissan and (8) Deputy O'Hanlon — the need to provide funding for the Phoenix Recreation Centre, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan.

The matters raised by Deputies Batt O'Keeffe, Keaveney, O'Hanlon and Joe Walsh, Power and Andrews have been selected for discussion.
