Vol. 478 No. 6

Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Noel Ahern

Question:

140 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if she will have investigations made into the situation in the Sacred Heart boys' national school, Ballygall Road West, Dublin 11 where a teacher will be lost in 1997 which will result in a class of over 40 pupils in each fifth class; if she will alter her decision; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [11857/97]

I am happy to inform the Deputy that, as a result of the introduction of the improved staffing schedule for the 1997-8 school year, Sacred Heart boys' national school will not lose a post at the end of the current school year.
