105 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in giving the go-ahead for the Kilbeggan fire station, County Westmeath; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that this development was announced many months ago; if he will give the go-ahead for this much needed facility; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A tender proposal submitted by Westmeath County Council for this project on 18 April 1997 is under examination in my Department. A decision will issue to the council as soon as possible.
