150 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the dangerous situation in a school (details supplied) in County Kildare where a high level of nitrates was detected in the water supply; and the action, if any, she proposes to take to rectify the situation.[12089/97]
The manager of the school referred to by the Deputy has recently written to my Department regarding a problem with the water supply at that school. The Office of Public Works has been requested to investigate the matter and to furnish a report as soon as possible. When this report is received my Department will contact the school manager in this matter.
