Written Answers - Fishing Net Regulations.
It is not part of the new conservation strategies for the salmon resource to permit the use of monofilament nets in estuarial fisheries. Monofilament nets have not traditionally been used in draft net fishing and it was not intended by the salmon management task force that their use be introduced in these fisheries.
