Vol. 478 No. 7

Written Answers - Maternity Services.

Máirín Quill

Question:

40 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Health if he has received a submission from the Irish Post-Natal Depression Group; if a post-natal depression unit will be included in the proposed integrated maternity service for Cork University Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12129/97]

Limerick East): I have been advised by the Southern Health Board that members of the post-natal distress support group have already met the chairman of the project team for the amalgamated obstetric unit. The views of this group, with those of other interested bodies in the area of obstetric services, will be considered by the project team in determining the brief for the amalgamated unit.
