Ahern asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, which has been made on the request for a security fence around St. Kevin's national school, Finglas West, Dublin 11; if she will give details of the proposed fence; when work will be carried out; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department's architectural staff recently forwarded a drawing of the proposed fence to the school authorities and advised them to submit an application for planning permission.
When planning permission has been granted, a decision on the timing of the tender and contract process will be taken in the light of other priority projects, and available financial resources.
