Vol. 479 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Frank Crowley

Question:

322 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a depopulation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [12610/97]

Reactor grants due on 37 animals disclosed in a TB test in late February 1997, will be paid shortly. In a TB reactor retest on 2 May 1997, further reactor animals were disclosed. Reactor grants in respect of these animals will be paid as soon as all the required documentation is received. As no decision has been taken with regard to a depopulation of the herd, the payment of depopulation grants does not arise.
