219 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health the sum of money agreed for the purchase of the machine in relation to commitments given by the Government to Deputy Fox relating to the provision of a CAT scanner for St. Colmcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown, County Dublin; the sum of money agreed for the provision of accommodation for this machine; the sum of money agreed for the revenue costs of this machine; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has received a proposal from the Eastern Health Board to locate a CT scanner at St. Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown. My Department is currently in discussion with management at the Eastern Health Board regarding capital costs, revenue costs and service levels associated with the provision of a CT scanner at St. Columcille's Hospital.
