Vol. 480 No. 3

Written Answers - Garda Stations.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

71 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position regarding the acquisition of a site for a new Garda station at Leixlip, County Kildare; if his attention has been drawn to the total number of sites currently under consideration; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14194/97]

The present position is that the Office of Public Works has been requested to look for a greenfield site or a suitable building to buy or lease in the area, for use as a new Garda station for Leixlip. As yet, I am still awaiting a reply from that office.
