Vol. 480 No. 6

Written Answers - Rural Environment Protection Scheme.

Willie Penrose

Question:

180 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a direction will be given by his Department to make REP scheme payments to new applicants or to applicants who have additional acreage since their last date of application in view of the fact that it is understood that payments will not be made until the direction is given to this effect by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14390/97]

A circular outlining arrangements for REPS payments to farmers for increases in the area of land included in the scheme was issued by my Department to REPS planners on 18 September.
