Vol. 481 No. 1

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefits.

Ivan Yates

Question:

152 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a blind welfare allowance was cut off from a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will have arrangements made to have this allowance restored. [15279/97]

Assessment of entitlement to a blind welfare allowance in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the query and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
