160 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid his voluntary training opportunity scheme payment in view of the fact that the delay has caused financial hardship. [15879/97]

I understand from the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee that the first VTOS payment will be due on 9 October 1997.
