Vol. 481 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

83 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid his headage and premia payments for 1997; and if the problem with one plot of land on his area aid application has been resolved. [15877/97]

It is hoped to establish this applicant's eligibility, by resolving his area aid application problems, in time to meet the payment commitments in the Charter of Rights for Farmers.

Michael Ring

Question:

84 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when persons (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive their slaughter premium on six animals in view of the fact that a total of three applications were submitted in this regard and the delay is causing financial hardship. [15878/97]

The herdowner applied for six animals on 8 May 1997 under the deseasonalisation slaughter premium scheme.

However, the necessary documentation, i.e. cattle identity cards and factory dockets, were not received in the special beef premium unit. The person named has been informed of the situation and has been requested to forward the supporting documents to the unit.

Payment will issue as soon as the outstanding documentation has been received and found to be in order.
