Question:259 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide for the new central school in Buninadden, County Sligo, in the 1998 Capital Funding Programme. [16337/97]
Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.
Planning for a new central school at Buninadden is under way in my Department and a firm of consulting engineers has been engaged to advise on the site suitabiliy. When the site suitability is fully assessed, my Department will provide design drawings to enable the school apply for planning permission. I can assure the Deputy that every effort will be made to advance the project through the various planning stages. At this stage, it is too early in the planning process to confirm the position regarding funding in 1998.
