Question:

200 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of trips made by Irish civil servants in his Department over the past two years on official business to Luxembourg; and the cost of those trips. [17131/97]

Officials of my Department were in Luxembourg on official business on eight occasions between 1 October 1995 and 30 September 1997. The cost involved, allowing for EU refunds and excluding the cost of Air Corps and air taxi flights, was £15,340.
