277 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he is giving active consideration to the application for the necessary funds to establish a regional indoor athletics arena for Claremorris, County Mayo. [16950/97]

My Department has no record of an application seeking assistance under the sports capital programme towards this project on the basis of the information supplied by the Deputy. If he can supply any more details the matter will be investigated further.
