291 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will ensure that provision is made in the 1998 Estimates to allow advancement and completion on the building project at Gaelscoil Osraí in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the progress to date of this particular project. Planning permission has recently been obtained for the major building project at Gaelscoil Osraí, County Kilkenny, and my Department has now appointed consultants to assist with the preparation of tender documentation for the scheme.
When all the planning work for the project is completed a decision will be taken on the timing of the tender and contract process in the light of existing contractual commitments and available capital funding. The capital funding available this year for new schools was allocated in full by my predecessor.
