My Department's planning section is currently examining the possibility of the amalgamation of the school referred to by the Deputy with a neighbouring school. In the circumstances, I am not in a position at this stage, to authorise a major works programme at the school. However, it is open to the school to use its devolved grant to undertake minor improvement works.
