132 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will give details of the current stage of progress of approval for improvements to the extension to a school (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17350/97]

The school to which the Deputy refers has applied to my Department for extension and refurbishment of the school building.

The request is currently under examination in the planning section and, as soon as its report is available, my Department will be in further contact with the school.
