37 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if it is the intention of the National Monuments and Historic Properties Service of her Department to provide funding for the restoration of the early Christian church at Killaspugbrone, Strandhill, County Sligo; if her Department will consider taking the church into State care; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the church in question is not in State care the National Monuments and Historic Properties Service of my Department would not be in a position to provide funding for restoration works.
