131 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food his views on a recent newspaper report (details supplied) regarding a letter of introduction issued by his predecessor on behalf of a colleague; if his Department approved this letter of support; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department of Agriculture and Food was not involved in discussions on the reported investment project in the Gambia. Therefore the question of approval by the Department of a letter of support for the project did not arise.
