136 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a REP scheme payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; if he will have arrangements made to expedite this payment; and if he will give details of the amount to be paid in this regard. [17806/97]
The applicant was issued a cheque for the sum of £4,045.89 in respect of his second year REPS payment on 21 May 1997, and a further cheque for the sum of £697.08 on 19 September 1997, in respect of payment withheld from the earlier date, pending the rectification of a deficient lease. As he now proposes to apply for payment on additional land, it will be necessary for his REPS planner, in accordance with revised procedures, to submit a new agri-environmental plan which includes the additional area.
