Vol. 482 No. 3

Written Answers. - Tax Relief.

Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

163 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Finance the financial assistance or relief, if any, which is available for the family of a person (details supplied) in County Donegal with a very serious illness which has incurred substantial expenses related to, for example, long stays in the capital city while the person undergoes treatment. [17723/97]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that as no formal claim for tax relief has been received by the inspector of taxes in his case it is not possible to determine what tax relief, if any, is available to the taxpayer in the absence of full details of the claim.
