Vol. 482 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

204 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo who is suffering considerable pain will be called for his hip operation in Cappagh Hospital, Dublin 11. [17783/97]

I understand from Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital that the person in question was placed on the orthopaedic waiting list on 9 October 1997 under the care of Mr. Paraic Murray, consultant orthopaedic surgeon for a total hip replacement. The hospital expect that this person should be called for surgery within the next four weeks.
