346 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if an application for lottery funds has been received from the board of management of a school (details supplied) in County Westmeath; the date on which this application was lodged; the progress, if any, made on the processing of this application; and if he will make a positive announcement on this application in 1997. An application for funding under the sports capital programme was received from the school on 27 August, 1997.

Under this programme 1997 grants have been allocated and all available funds are now committed to existing projects. Consequently, it will not be possible to consider any new applications until the next round of grant approvals.
