Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

217 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in paying a tuberculosis reactor grant to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim. [18953/97]

Reactor grants due to the person named will be paid this week.

Michael D'Arcy

Question:

218 Mr. D'Arcy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of applications refused payment for livestock headage and premium schemes for each of the years from 1993 to 1996 under the livestock headage scheme including cattle, beef cows, sheep, goats and equine headage, special beef premium including both ten and 22 month premium, ewe premium, suckler cow scheme, and extensification premium. [18954/97]

The information requested for the years in question in respect of the headage and premia schemes is not readily available. However, I am arranging to have the details sent to the Deputy within the next two weeks.

Billy Kelleher

Question:

219 Mr. Kelleher asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork is in category B status compensation in the brucellosis eradication scheme. [19090/97]

The herdowner in question purchased animals, which though pre-movement tested were not post-movement tested in his herd within the prescribed period prior to the breakdown of the herd with brucellosis in September 1997. Under the current brucellosis eradication scheme, the appropriate category of grant in this case is category 2.
