The current system of funding Ireland's top sports persons and emerging talent is under review by my Department, in conjunction with the Irish Sports Council, with a view to providing more targeted and better co-ordinated support to sports persons and athletes at various stages of their careers.
Until the review is completed, it is simply not possible to say at this stage what particular arrangements will be put in place for individual sports, including golf.
