490 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science the level of grant aid that is available to third-level institutions who intend to provide student accommodation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19174/97]
No grant aid is at present available for the provision of student accommodation in third level institutions. However, the Department of Education and Science fully supports the selffinancing mechanisms which have been and are being employed by institutions to provide such accommodation.
