Vol. 483 No. 1

Written Answers. - Schools Refurbishment.

Billy Timmins

Question:

227 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Education and Science the proposals, if any, his Department has for the installation of a heating system at Rathcoyle national school, County Wicklow. [19922/97]

My Department's professional advisers have examined and reported on the present heating system at this school. They have advised that the existing storage heating system is the most suitable for this size of school. Installation of additional heaters will resolve the current heating problems. The school authorities have been advised accordingly and also that the works falls within the scope of the devolved grant scheme.
