Question:243 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the water and sewerage schemes in County Mayo, if any, which have been approved for funding in 1997; and the schemes, if any, which have actually commenced in this regard. [20084/97]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 242 and 243 together.
The list of schemes included in my Department's Water and Sewerage Services Investment Programme 1997 is set out in Water and Sewerage Investment Programme — Annual Report 1997, a copy of which was circulated to Deputies and is available in the Oireachtas Library. Ballyhaunis sewerage and Erris regional water supply schemes commenced construction earlier this year.
The following schemes in County Mayo, which are at various stages of planning, are in my Department but not approved:
