320 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will instruct the Office of Public Works to acquire a property (details supplied) in County Kilkenny on behalf of the State in view of the fact that extensive searches by both the Office of Public Works and Kilkenny County Council have failed to established ownership of this property. Investigations are being carried out with a view to establishing legal ownership of the property in question. Pending completion of these investigations the Deputy will appreciate that it would be premature to consider taking the property into State ownership.
