Question:43 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the current position of the proposed Bantry regional water scheme, County Cork; and when the scheme will commence. [20037/97]
Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.
This scheme is included in the 1997 Water and Sewerage Investment Programme, to be advanced through planning. The preliminary report was approved on 30 April 1997 and the submission of contract documents is awaited from the local authority. It is not possible, at this stage, to say when work on the scheme will commence.
