52 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the current position of the proposed new sewerage scheme at Castletownbere, County Cork; and when funding will be provided by his Department in this regard. [20036/97]
Contract documents for this scheme have been submitted to my Department but it is understood from the local authority that these are currently being revised. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage investment programme and pending the examination of the revised contract documents when submitted I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this scheme.
