55 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will provide funds for Waterford Corporation to carry out the necessary works to prevent flooding on the Tramore Road on the section inside the borough boundary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The maintenance and improvement of non-national roads is, in principle, a matter for the local authority concerned, in this case Waterford Corporation. No proposal has been made to my Department on the works in question.
