113 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if her Department will expedite an electricity connection for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that he is anxious to move into his new house before Christmas 1997. [20357/97]
This application under the farm electrification grant scheme was approved by my Department on 20 October, 1997. I understand from the ESB that they advised the applicant concerned of this outcome and quoted subsidised terms for supply on 8 November, 1997. The applicant has not yet advised the ESB of the acceptance of these terms.
As soon as the ESB are notified of acceptance of these terms the applicant will be placed on the ESB work programme.
