124 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for his Department's decision to penalise a person (details supplied) in County Mayo by withholding the payment due under the extensification scheme on not just three re-tagged bullocks but on the remaining 19 cattle in his herd. Having fully examined the circumstances surrounding this case my Department is now in a position to make payment of extensification premium for 1996 to the person named. Payment should issue in approximately three to four weeks.
