162 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the degree to which the board of management at Scoil Mhuire, Clane, County Kildare have been asked for their opinion in relation to the proposed extension to the school; when the remaining developmental stages of the school development plan will be processed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Officials of my Department met with the school authorities and the design team last August to discuss the project in detail. Following these discussions, the school authorities have indicated that they wish to extend the area of the PE hall. My Department's building unit is at present awaiting Stage 2 (outline sketch scheme) documentation from the design team and when this has been examined and found to be in order the project will proceed further. It is not possible to say when construction will commence.
