120 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department has made a decision on the allocation of an European Regional Development Fund grant to the Fingal Workshop Ltd. , Strand Street, Skerries, County Dublin; and, if so, the funding which he has made available to this service. European Regional Development Funds (ERDF), are provided as part of the capital programme for vocational training centres 1994-99 under the Operational Programme for Human Resources (OP). In total, a capital allocation of £33.58 million for vocational training centres is available under the OP. Of this, £18.2 million is European Regional Development Fund with the balance of £15.38 million being provided by the Exchequer.
I am actively considering the position of the Fingal Workshop Ltd. , in the context of this capital programme and I expect shortly to make a decision in the matter.
