Vol. 483 No. 6

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Liam Burke

Question:

313 Mr. L. Burke asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will make a statement in relation to the engineering inspector's report of March 1997, on the public inquiry held in 1966 into the construction of a sewage treatment plant at Carrigrenan, Little Island, County Cork, and his subsequent discussions with officers of the Little Island Community Association in view of the views and concerns of the local community. [21469/97]

Having made my decision to allow the proposed waste water treatment plant at Carrigrenan, Little Island, I have no further function in relation to the public inquiry and it would not be appropriate for me to comment on the inspector's report.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

314 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when the preliminary report on the Finuge sewerage scheme, County Kerry will be considered; and when funds will be made available for the scheme. [21470/97]

This proposal was received in my Department on 12 November 1997 and is currently under examination.
