325 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the discussions, if any, his Department has had, directly or through third parties, in relation to hosting the Golf World Cup in Ireland in the year 2000 or afterwards in view of the fact that Ireland won the competition in 1997. I met with a representative of the organisers of the World Cup of Golf in Valder-rama last September. Having already secured the Ryder Cup for the year 2005 I am anxious to explore further the possibility of staging the World Cup of Golf in Ireland.
