Vol. 484 No. 3

Written Answers. - Teacher Appointments.

Willie Penrose

Question:

350 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science the steps, if any, he is taking to provide a remedial teacher for a school (details supplied) in County Meath in view of the acknowledgement of the need for the provision of this service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21866/97]

I am sure the Deputy will appreciate there are many competing demands for increased funding in all sectors of education. These demands are considered within the overall budgetary constraints. The position of this school will be kept under review and will be considered when next it is possible to allocate additional remedial posts.
