123 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the reason he did not express concern in July 1997 regarding the removal of the regional office of Coillte Teoranta from Kilkenny city; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21950/97]
The matter raised by the Deputy is one for commercial decision by Coillte Teoranta. Under the Forestry Act, 1988, Coillte Teoranta was set up as a commercial company and the day-to-day administration of the company was vested in Coillte Teoranta. I have no function, therefore, in the issue raised by the Deputy.
