Written Answers. - Nursing Fees.
As I indicated in my reply of 11 December 1997 to a related question from the Deputy, the Commission on Nursing, in its interim report, has identified a number of issues regarding the education and training of student nurses and the continuing education of registered nurses, including the payment of course fees. The commission's final report, which is due next year, is expected to contain recommendations for addressing those issues. It is my intention to review the present arrangements in that context.
