Vol. 485 No. 2

Written Answers. - Medical Treatment.

Willie Penrose

Question:

214 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be admitted to Tullamore General Hospital for treatment by means of injection; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22969/97]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Westmeath is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Midland Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
